Jacky Liu's work VIEW IN STRING was selected to be the winner of String Quartet Prize.

Commissioned by the Organizing Committee, Jacky will write a new work, which will premiere at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center in April 2024. The Gena Raps Chamber Music Composition Competition is an important annual competition of the Juilliard School. It is co founded by Ms. Gena Raps, The Juilliard School, and the Foundation of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Chamber Music Association. Students at all levels of the college can participate. The competition judges are renowned musicians Alex Sopp, David T. Little, and Valerie Coleman. Jacky's works impressed three judges in terms of creative thinking and writing skills.
